Hello again,
I have another question, this time regarding RIO and the PIR power supply.
In one room (i.e. bedroom), I would like the PIR to be completely disabled (not powered) during the night.
One reason is that we would like to avoid extra \"wave\" emissions (with dual technologies PIR) and that we don\'t want te be bothered by the PIR LEDs during the night. Besides as we are in the room, there is no need to check for presence.
To achieve this, would it be possible to plug one end of the PIR supply to the +12V of Comfort, and the other end to an output connector of the RIO ?
In that way, I would like the RIO output to be open when in \"night mode\", so that the PIR won\'t be powered (and that zone would also be disabled to avoid a zone trouble warning).
As the power supply for the PIR is Comfort itself, I don\'t think I need something like a reed relay module... the RIO output could do the job.
But I might be totally wrong, I\'m no electrician, so any advise would be appreciated !

Yes it is possible to do what you suggest
Another possibility is to use the Switched 12V supply from Comfort labelled \"S12V\" in the same 3 pin terminal Block as 12V and COM
This is a 12V output that can be programmed on and off. This saves you an output

I\'m glad I was right with the possibility to use the RIO for such a use.
I understand that I can also use the S12V connector, but as we are also using \"fire\" type zones, I\'m going to use the S12V to reset the fire detectors.
So I\'ll need the \"real\" output to disable some PIR. That is not a problem as I wasn\'t going to use the 8 built-in RIO anyway (KNX is already doing the job for sensors and actuators, so besides switching on/off PIR, I can\'t see any use for the comforts IO in my setup... for the moment).
By the way I\'m thrilled by Comfort... with some search and help, everything is possible

An alternative is to use a an iWise detector from RISCO.. You can disable the LED\'s remotely and automatically turn them on during a walk test (I assume Comfort has a walk test?).. You can also disable the MW unless the system is armed - all automatic using up 1 output for each function.
We disable the LED\'s on all projects by default anyway.

How do you disable the iWise leds remotely? Via the Nova Receiver?

there is an LED control terminal and their operation is controlled by applying or removing 12v..

The Nova receiver works with Risco transmitters and has 4 outputs to connect to Comfort physical zones so it allows wireless sensors to be used with Comfort, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum95/2230.html

ahh.. wireless is for cheats, we try to avoid where possible.
