New UCM/Velbus - Printable Version +- Comfort Automation/ Security System Forums (https://www.comfortforums.com) +-- Forum: Third Party (interfacing to Comfort) (https://www.comfortforums.com/forum-5.html) +--- Forum: Velbus (https://www.comfortforums.com/forum-88.html) +--- Thread: New UCM/Velbus (/thread-2302.html) |
- admin - 06-14-2011 The new UCM/Velbus connects directly to Velbus, ie 4 wires 12V, GND, CANH, CANL instead of to the Velbus VMB1RS RS232 Interface as in the previous version. The Velbus system is electrically isolated from the Comfort system. This is a significant improvement in simplicity of wiring connection as well as increasing system reliability in not needing additional VMB1RS module and a RS232 cable, and also realises cost savings. It makes the Velbus system a more attractive candidate for system integrators to implement lighting, blinds and heating control with Comfort. ![]() Up to 512 Velbus channels are supported The Velbus Modules supported currently are
Minimum Comfort Firmware 5.215 recommended UCM/Velbus Firmware Velbus 5.230 (https://www.cytech.biz/ucmvelbus_firmware.html ) UCM firmware (for programming) UCM 5.212 (UCM 6.002 recommended) Comfigurator software version 3.2.8 UCM/Velbus Manual can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/ucmvelbus_manual.html UCM/Velbus on Cytech Website https://www.cytech.biz/ucmvelbus.html Many thanks to Velleman in Belgium for working with us on this - slychiu - 06-21-2011 The Velbus/Cytech interface is now featured on the Velbus website http://www.velbus.eu/ http://www.velbus.eu/news/?id=358 - wexfordman - 06-23-2011 Hi, is this available to pruchase yet, i.e where in the e.u for example can I order this ucm and ensure it is this new version with direct velbus interface ? - slychiu - 06-23-2011 The new UCM/Velbus has just been announced so it is unlikely that any distributor would have stock. You can specify that the new model with direct interface is required. However we will check if any orders are pending from any distributor and let you know - wexfordman - 07-23-2011 Woo hoo!! Just bought my velbus interface, my first step in getting away from x10!!! |
