- WMADKOUR - 10-11-2012 another new issue concern UCM/ETH02, at one of our projects Eth02 connected for ipad interface, system ULT 6.2, UCM ver 6.012 the problem is that the UCM works fine for couple of days, sometime a week, then it block , means the ipad could not connect, and some times it connect but with out any possible response or feed back for any zone or security status, after i go down to client i disconnect power and battery for 1 min and then power up , it connect fine , but it don\'t last for more than days till i receive another block call, i set the UCM IP within range that the router start after. what do you think the problem is cause i got the 5th block call and i can\'t figure out a reason ![]() thanks - slychiu - 10-11-2012 The minimum Comfort firmware is 6.004, your firmwre ULT \"6.2\" may be too old You should upgrade to the latest firmware for UCM and Comfort from https://www.cytech.biz/firmware.html The ETH02 firmware should also be upgraded to 3.13 using Device Explorer from https://www.cytech.biz/eth02_firmware.html?category_id=101 The ETH02 firmware is NOT the same as UCM firmware, this is the firmware which runs in the ETH02 submodule see the instructions for upgrading ETJ02 firmware using DS Explorer at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/2602.html In DS Manager set Idle Timeout to 2 minutes so that an idle application cannot hog the connection, since only 1 connection at a time is able to connect to the Ethernet port. This may be the \"blocking\" that you describe - WMADKOUR - 10-11-2012 thanks for your fastest reply the ULT version is 6.020, and yes the daughter module was updated before the issue to firmware 3.13. the IDLE time set to 1 as the default we will change it to 2 ,but what do you mean with \"idle application cannot hog the connection \" thanks - ident - 10-12-2012 Only one thing can connect to UCM/Ethernet at any time so if Comfigurator is using UCM/Ethernet, iPhone etc cannot One application must disconnect before another connects Also 2 iphones cannot access UCM/Ethernet at one time The Idle time out is the time in minutes which automaticaly disconnects the application if there is no data exchanged 2 minutes means it will disconnect after 2 minutes of no data 0 means it does not disconnect When it is \"blocked\" next time, open DS Manager and see what it tells you. Is the UCM/Ethernet seen, if not then it is not on the network. This could be due to network problems or other things |
