Can the CMW be used with the iphone App instead of the Ethernet UCM?

The CWM has a passthrough port that acts like a UCM but there are limitations like need for engineers sign in enable and lack of other features that will not make it practical for the iphone app.
Perhaps a better option is to get a UCM/Eth02 to replace the webserver and use the iphone app instead of the browser?
