This is the first Version 7 firmware to be released. The version 7 firmware has many improvements especially in the firmware upgrading and ID setting methods
Firmware Upgrade Method
- When upgrading firmware, time to erase flash is reduced to 2 seconds.
- Implement Upgrade UCM firmware by Bus
- Fixed problem in Upgrading Comfort firmware by Bus - if the firmware upgrade failed and the UCM is reset, Engineer sign-in F0 was required. However if UCM is not reset then there is no problem as engineer sign-in is still valid.
- If Comfort firmware upgrade failed, UCM will reply to a query v? from Comfigurator and not delay the subsequent upgrade attempt.
- Implemented COPY ID press/hold for setting ID if ID shunts are not inserted The ID is saved in the U2 EEPROM. If U2 is not inserted, then COPY button will not work. See instructions in the new UCM Manual https://www.cytech.biz/ucm_manual.html
- If U2 EEPROM is not inserted or has smaller capacity than U4 EEPROM in Comfort, Download/Upload buttons willnot work If U2 size > Comfort U4 size, Download and Upload will stop at U4 size in Comfort
- If is U2 EEPROM is invalid or not inserted flash RDY not ERR. if ID = FF turn off RDY and flash BUSY1, BUSY2
- Support ID setting commands from Comfigurator 3.6.0
- Implemented ID leds display ID when ID/COPY button is momentarily pressed
ID is FF unassigned, allow any code to login so PC can change ID of UCM
- Added commands to allow Write and Read KT03 using UCM instead of KT03 USB port. This requires Comfort firmware v7 and KT03 firmware v7
- Fixed BUG from 20/5/10 which may cause VL to send line to Comfort vocabulary before it is ready but this may not have any effect
- Introduced acknowledge time-out for Vocabulary Upgrade VL command. If acknowledge reply from Comfort is not received in 5 secs, time out and continue with VL, as if acknowledge was received, as the acknowledge reply may have been lost in communications. This prevents upgrade from being stopped by the acknowledge reply being lost or not received especially by Ethernet
- UCM will update sending cm message if Control Menu status (by Counter, Sensor, Inputs, Outputs, Flag etcx) to UCM when there is any change to the status of Control menu so iPhone app does not have to keep querying. The PC must send an initial CMggcc query to initiate the automatic updating by the UCM via the cm message. Requires Comfort 6.054 This speeds up control menu feedback when using the iPhone app.
- UCM06 capture IR does not require or learn the Carrier frequency as the carrier frequency does not make much difference to the receving of the IR by other receivers, IR frequency is fixed at 38 Khz. This makes it easier to learn IR signals and less sensitive to position and distance of the Remote control to the UCM.
- UCM sensors increased to 2 bytes s? Sensor query command will return 2 bytes sensor value
- Fixed minor problem where 1st message in transmit RS485 buffer was lost
- Prevent counter Number 255 from sending a counter command to Comfort Counter number is 0 to 254 only
Comfigurator 3.6.0 will upgrade the current UCM firmware by \"Check for Updates\" method (right click on UCM)
Note that new UCMs bought from Distributors may not have the latest firmware. Please do an upgrade

Hi,
With regards the changes to the CM feedback, should we see a noticable difference after the upgrade or will it require also an upgraded version of the iphone and android apps ?
I notice that my android app is very slow to get status of devices and counters, and in some ases fails to retrieve the values altogether, and was thinking this may improve it!
Still notice the problem, particulalry with recovering scs temp values etc

A new android app is required which makes the updating of the control status much faster
It happens that the Android phone app 1.08 (Beta) is now available

I uninstalled the old app, reinstalled the new app, and did the comversion etc for the android app. When I open the app on the phne, it appears, allows me to log in, but the control menu and all the sensors etc are showing as empty. Its as if my conversion file was empty! I can see the comfort status, ie security on off etc, ut no control items or sensors etc appear.
Is there an issue with the conversion files ?

Just edit the configuration again and go back
You will be able to see the zones and control once you have been in the edit config

hi ident, well the app is now loading the config okay, but I have to say, no difference at all in the time to load values and displat states etc, in fact, it looks worse to me, as sometimes it takes so long, it is not reading anything at all and I just shut it down.
When i compare it to the iphone app, the iphone is near instant compared to the android app. pretty much unusable android app at the moment, excpt for basic security functions.
Prob best moving this discussion to the android app forum though!
