- slychiu - 12-06-2014 Comfort CP9000/CM9000 comes with 8 inputs and 8 outputs. CM9000 refers to the Comfort Controller PCB while CP9000 includes the metal enclosure and transformer., CM9000 and been replaced by CM9001 The Inputs and Outputs can be increased by adding Local Expansion Modules (LEMs), Slave Expansion Modules (SEMs) and Remote Input/Output Expansions (RIOs). Local Expansion Modules Only 1 LEM can be connected to a CP9000 Controller, or a Slave Explansion Module (SEM). 3 Types of LEMs are available; LEM01-M2 has 8 Inputs and 8 Outputs (LEM02-M2 has been replaced by LEM02B) ![]() LEM02-M2 has 8 inputs, 0 outputs. (LEM03-M2 has been replaced by LEM03B) ![]() LEM03-M2 has 16 Inputs, 0 outputs (LEM03-M2 has been replaced by LEM03B) ![]() When the LEM03 is connected to CM9000, the Slave expansion cannot be connected. because the inputs 17 to 24 are the same as the Slave\'s. LEM03 with CM9000 means the system has 24 Inputs and 8 outputs. The LEM is connected to CM9000 or SEM01-M2 by the LEM cable. ![]() There are 2 lengths available, short and long. The photo above is the short cable which is for mounting the LEM directly above the CM9000 PCB. The longer one allows the LEM to be mounted on the enclosure. Slave Expansion Modules Only 1 LEM can be connected to the CM9000. After that further expansion requires a Slave Expansion, SEM01-M2 is the Slave Expansion Module PCB while SEP01-M2 is SEM01-M2 with the metal enclosure. SEM01-M2/SEP01M2 has 8 inputs and 8 outputs. SEM01-M2 has been replaced by SEM01C ![]() The SEM01-M2 PCB is the same size as CM9000, but the right side of the PCB has fewer components. The SEM01 has its own battery charger and requires a transformer and AC supply. The SEM01 should be connected to a separate battery 12V 7 AH like CM9000 so that it can backup the power in case of mains failure. The SEM01 is connected to CM9000 by 4 wires; 12V, COM, KA, KB. KA/KB is the RS485 bus. The connection can be done by the white 4 way cable if the distance is short ![]() or by CAT5 cable joining the terminal blocks 12V, COM, KA, KB from SEM to CM9000 for longer distances. One LEM01 or LEM02 can be connected to the SEM01 Up to 5 SEM01s can be connected to Comfort Ultra (Comfort Optimum supports 3 SEMs). Hence Ultra has a maximum of 96 alarm inputs and 96 outputs. Hence the sequence of adding expansions with the zone numbering is CM9000/CM9001- 8 inputs, 8 outputs. Input/Output 1 to 8 + LEM - 8 inputs/0 or 8 outputs. Input/Output 9 to 16 + SEM01 - 8 inputs, 8 outputs. Input/Output 17 to 24 + LEM - 8 inputs/0 or 8 outputs. Input/Output 25 to 32 + SEM01 - 8 inputs, 8 outputs. Input/Output 33 to 40 + LEM - 8 inputs/0 or 8 outputs. Input/Output 41 to 48 + SEM01 - 8 inputs, 8 outputs. Input/Output 49 to 56 + LEM - 8 inputs/0 or 8 outputs. Input/Output 57 to 64 + SEM01 - 8 inputs, 8 outputs. Input/Output 65 to 72 + LEM - 8 inputs/0 or 8 outputs. Input/Output 73 to 80 + SEM01 - 8 inputs, 8 outputs. Input/Output 81 to 88 + LEM - 8 inputs/0 or 8 outputs. Input/Output 89 to 96 This gives 96 inputs 96 outputs - slychiu - 12-06-2014 Remote Input Output Module (RIO) The RIO01 has 8 digital Non-alarm inputs and 8 outputs ![]() The size of the RIO is the same as LEM with the same mountiing holes However the RIO is connected via 12V, COM, KA, KB and not the LEM flat cable so the RIO can be mounted hundred of meters away from CM9000, just like a Slave SEM01. The 4 way white cable can be used to connect RIOs to CM9000 ![]() or CAT5 cable to the 12V, COM, KA, KB terminal blocks. The RIO outputs have the same function as Comfort, LEM and SEM, ie they can be switched on and off, pulsed or send Infrared signals. However RIO Inputs are different from CM9000, SEM or LEM inputs as they cannot be used for alarm inputs ie cannot trigger alarms. The RIO inputs can trigger On and Off Responses so are used for automation only. Another function of RIO inputs is that they can be connected to Infrared Receivers (IR01W, IR03W, IRM01). Comfort IR codes from the RC01 remote control can send Comfort IR codes to the IR receivers to trigger IR received Responses IR01W with series resistor for short distance ![]() IR03W (without resistor) with stick on emitter and visible RED led ![]() IRM01 for longer distance ![]() There are a maximum of 15 RIOs in Comfort Ultra (CM9000-ULT). The numbering of the Inputs and Outputs are; RIO #1: 129 to 136 RIO #2: 137 to 144 RIO #3: 145 to 152 RIO #4: 153 to 160 RIO #5: 161 to 168 RIO #6: 169 to 176 RIO #7; 177 to 184 RIO #8: 185 to 192 RIO #9: 193 to 200 RIO #10: 201 to 208 RIO #11: 209 to 216 RIO #12: 217 to 224 RIO #13: 225 to 232 RIO #14: 233 to 240 RIO #15: 241 to 258 |
