- slychiu - 12-09-2015 The UCM/Zwave3 from Cytech is certified as a Zwave product by the Zwave Alliance see http://products.z-wavealliance.org/products/833 The UCM/Zwave3 is a Secondary Controller which implements the Bridge Controller function, ie it can create Virtual Nodes within it so that other Zwave nodes can associate with the virtual nodes to control Comfort. Supported Command Classes (6):
The UCM/Zwave3 is compatible with Zwave devices which support the same classes. It cannot control devices which support classes which are not in this list. The Zwave products which have been found to be compatible or incompatible with our UCM/Zwave3 will be listed here so that Comfort users and installers will be informed of which are the products to buy which can be used with Comfort. The UCM/Zwave is suitable for unencrypted control of lights, dimming, appliances and relays. Zwave motion detectors and door sensors can be used as Virtual Inputs for Comfort security system. The UCM/Zwave is NOT suitable for more complex devices like RGB control, encyrption and thermostats The Zwave Alliance website shows all ZWave Certified products http://products.z-wavealliance.org/ - slychiu - 12-10-2015 Incompatible Devices List The list shown is not exhaustive, but shows what devices that have been tested, OR has been determined from the specs of the device. If a device does not appear here it does not mean that it is compatible. but it has not been reported

- mikeinnc - 01-21-2016 So, is it *absolutely* confirmed that the Comfort UCM/ZWave3 will --NOT-- work with Z wave airconditioning thermostats such as the Remotec Z-Wave Thermostat Model:ZHC01 or the Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave Thermostat? There seems to be some confusion about this in the forum! Thanks - Mike - slychiu - 01-21-2016 These devices work on the Thermostat command classThey also support the Basic Class so I believe on and off command should work The remotec manual https://www.remotec.com.hk/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/8031_V3.12_F820-8031-0004_40p_20140702.pdf says that multilevel sensor command class is supported so it appears that temperature may be mapped to comfort sensors Checking compatibility requires the technical documentation to be examined to see the command classes that are supported If you have the device installed, learning will reveal the classes of the device - MDKKEN - 02-01-2016 Hi I just want to clarify regarding ZWave plus standard modules. ZWave UCM should work with any ZWave plus module as long as the module does not encrypt its messages. So Fibaro ZWave plus Dimmer will not work at it encrypts its messages whereas Qubino Flush Dimmer ZWave Plus should work as it does not encrypt. please see http://www.pepper1.net/zwavedb/device/866. More over, its dimming abilities for LEDs is better than the fibaro. For the UK it does require a neutral wire so wall mounted switches with only switched live it will not work. HOWEVER, this module can be placed in the ceiling rose where there is neutral so can still be used. I think is the case and make clear. - muddymickey - 02-08-2016 Hi Is the UCM Zwave 3 still definitely incompatible with the Fibaro FGD-212 ? If so, are there any plans in the near future to support it ? I\'ve just bought the UCM and fitted it to my Comfort system, and have today fitted my first FGD-212 - now I\'ve just read this
- slychiu - 02-08-2016 It is not clear. There is information that it may be possible to include the Fibaro FGD212 in nonsecure mode which would allow other zwave products to work with it but this has to be confirmed by those who have it But we do not intend to support the Zwave encryption property |
