- slychiu - 12-22-2015 Comfigurator 3.10.11 has been released. To upgrade, open Comfigurator and go to Help > Check for Updates. You need to have an Internet connection These arethe changes from Comfigurator 3.10.6 Known Bugs
- bodsmate - 12-22-2015 Thanks for the software update. Unfortunately the installation fails on my system. I suspect this is due to my HA PC running XP and missing a updated component. After starting the installer, it seems to go through the motions but then after rebooting it shows \"The installer was interrupted before Configurator 3.10.11 could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again\" Problem being - If I restart the installer, I get the same message so stuck in a loop and don\'t know how proceed to uninstall it? Can you help me? I tried installing on a different more up-to-date computer and this installs fine, hence the reason I suspect I am missing a component on my good old XP PC. Happy Christmas everyone! :dude: - slychiu - 12-23-2015 Yes there seems to be a problem with Windows XP. Please install in Windows 7 or above for the time being Do not install on windows XP - juwi_uk - 12-23-2015 Would it be too contentious to wonder why you\'d want to still support Windows XP given it is over 14 years old now and doesn\'t have much market share these days? ![]() https://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-system-market-share.aspx?qprid=10&qpcustomd=0 - bodsmate - 12-24-2015 OK, thanks for the reply. It hasn\'t stopped the previous version 3.10.6.0 from working so will leave it at that. Incidentally - I tried installing on a windows Vista laptop and it installs and runs no problem, so perhaps Vista and above is ok. - bodsmate - 12-24-2015 Thanks for the pie chart Julian, this PC is a low energy, solid state machine and unfortunately it is not high enough spec to run windows 7. It does however run every thing else HA related and is on 24/7 accessed via remote desktop (as it\'s in a rack in my attic). The laptop I access it from is Vista, so not much newer! - slychiu - 12-24-2015 If we can support XP without difficulty then we should continue to do so. If any features requires a higher version then that may be a problem You can also upgrade to 3.10.9 see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum87/4209.html even though this is considered beta, there are few problems with it - slychiu - 01-14-2016 Bug found in 3.10.11 File > Update Defaults does not work (causes exception). This should update the default configurations and templates. - slychiu - 01-15-2016 To work-around the problem with the Update Defaulots feature, please unzip the 2 files from this link https://www.cytech.biz/download_files.php?item_id=843 and save in the Comfigurator Installation folder. You do not need to execute the files - Home - 01-20-2016 Installed this on Vista machine before reading this thread..... If I need to install an earlier version do I need to un-install the current one first? |
