Emails from Comfort stopped suddenly a couple of days ago. I have tried everything I can think of to get them going again. I have upgraded to the latest Eth03 firmware (2.23), controller and slave firmware is also up to date. I tried doing a complete reset on the Eth03, I\'ve powered the entire system down, I\'ve changed everything in the email configuration page including trying a totally different account for sending but no joy. Any suggestions because I\'m flummoxed?

I am still getting emails from eth03, so dont know what could be the problem. Nothing has changed in eth03 for some time, and UCM and Comfort firmware does not affect this
I suspect that the email settings may have some problems, perhaps they need encryption
can you try a free email server like stp2go, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum113/4645.html to see if it makes a diference

I tried smtp2go to eliminate this possibility before I posted on the forum. That made no difference.

I still haven\'t got to the bottom of this. I have proven the smtp2go settings are correct because I have successfully sent emails from Thunderbird using identical credentials.
I have also been battling an issue with the sunset response not working. I selectively read the table of times from Comfort to the PC and verified they are correctly stored. I then modified both the sunrise and sunset responses to add a custom entry to the log on execution and proved only the sunrise response was being triggered. Oddly, the sunrise time did not change on the 20th July. Part of my sunrise response is to offset the sunset time and pull it forward. I have removed that action for the moment to see if that makes a difference. I don\'t see why it should when everything was working perfectly before this.

Although I have no understanding of your firmware, the combination of these two issues suggests to me the ETH03 has malfunctioned somehow. It has wasted a lot of my time and is driving me mad so I have grudgingly ordered another one which will be with me tomorrow. Fingers crossed, that works because I am at a loss to explain it.

The sunset response not working is due to a bug in Comfigurator 3.13.3, see this post here http://www.comfortforums.com/forum20/5155.html Several people have discovered this

This has been fixed in 3.13.4 Please upgrade and test

Oddly enough, before I read your reply I discovered late last night the sunset response location was empty by doing a selective read from Comfort. Logically, that was the likeliest explanation for the issue which is why I checked. Presumably this happened because I did a complete upload of my configuration from Comfigurator 3.13.3 in the course of trying to sort out the lack of emails? I reloaded the miscellaneous responses using 3.12.3 which is still on my laptop and verified the configuration is now correct on Comfort so I fully expect the response will work correctly tonight.

I now have a new ETH03 but I won\'t be able to fit it until next week as I have had to go away unexpectedly for a few days. I\'ll report back then.

You will have to write to Comfort again with 3.13.4 to get your sunset responses back agai

- Guest - 07-30-2020

They are back already as I used my laptop which still has 3.12.3
I\'m hoping to test the new ETH03 later today and I will report back afterwards.

Sorry for not reporting back but I got waylaid and have only just fitted the new ETH03. I\'m glad to report that everything is now working as it should.
