Can SideKick be connected to Comfort through the RS232 serial interface of CWM?
Alternatively,if the UCM/Ethernet board is used to connect rather than the CWM, I assume that there is no serial connection between Comfort and SideKick, if what are there any issues with this?

That port for the CWM is meant for a dialup modem connection.
The UCM/Ethernet is used similar to a serial UCM. What issues do you refer to? I do not see any issues with this so far.

Thanks for the reply. I do not know if there are any issues (eg reliability, flexibility, functionality) - hence - the question.
Baiscally, I am trying to determine which UCM(S)/modules I need to connect Comfort to:
1. SideKick;
2. The Gigabit network around my home; and
3. The internet.

If you can get the UCM05 serial interface near the Sidekick, then that would be a cheaper option than the UCM/Ethernet, as Rs232 can only go about 10 meters
To connect to the Ethernet/Internet you need the UCM/Ethernet

Thanks but your reply does not really answer my questions, see above. I asked about reliability, functionality etc. Let me ask another way, is a short run RS232 serial connection a more stable solution than ethernet? (note SideKick only has 1 network port).
Anyway - I suppose it is possible to have the UCM/Audio and either the UCM/Ethernet or CWM installed into Comfort? The RS232 on the UCM/Audio can be used to connected to SideKick (with audio) leaving SideKick\'s only network adapter to connect to my ethernet switch.

Both should work as well.
Yes, you can have the configuration as you stated. Comfort allows the combination of up to 8 UCMs (of any type) in its system.
