- admin - 03-30-2008 The Infrared Learning Tool current version 1.2.1.1 includes a Pronto Conversion utlity which is easy to use. In Comfigurator, go to Tools > Infrared Utility The IR learner opening screen appears. Click the New Tab to open a new dialog window as shown below Enter the Product (brand), device and Model Number and click OK - admin - 03-30-2008 The name of the new Remote control should be seen onn the top In the Function box, click ADD A new ADD NEW FUNCTION window appears as shown below Enter the name of the function eg ON, OFF, Channel1, Bright, Play etc Do not check the box old UCM01 (unless you have a UCM01) The Serial Port is the connection to the UCM05, COM1 to COM16 This has to be entered separately from Comfigurator. Ethernet ports cannot be used for this Check the box \"Generate Signal via Pronto Hex Format. The screen below will appear - admin - 03-30-2008 The space at the bottom is to allow Pronto Hex codes to be entered Pronto hex codes are the codes used to encode Infrared signals when they are learned. Pronto hex codes for many devices may be found in http://www.remotecentral.com. Warning - These are uploaded by users so not all of them may work Open the hex codes in a text editor eg Notepad Copy the hex codes for the function you wish to learn and PASTE it into the box - admin - 03-30-2008 Press Start. The Infrared signal which has been converted is displayed Resolution - High, Medium, Low, Lowest affects how the signal is shown on the display Tolerance is for encoding the IR signal nornally set to 15% In Infrared Signal box, Encode - will encode the signal to the IFR format Crop is to remove parts of the signal which are mot needed Save to file is to save the raw codes to send to us for analysis if the codes to not work - admin - 03-30-2008 Press ENCODE. The screen below is shown. The codes are the reduced codes that are aaved in the IFR file for this function Click YES to save the codes for the functgion in the IFR file Repeat the process to convert another function or button from the device The codes for the device is now saved in the IFR folder in Comfigurator You can select the device and functions to send the IR signal to any Comfort output More functions for the device can be added or deleted at any time If anyone has problems with converting any Pronto hex code or getting the converted codes to work, please send an email to support@cytech.biz and attach the Pronto hex file as well as the comverted IFR File |
