Alarm Control Via C-Bus
#2
Welcome to the Comfort forum. I am sorry that you did not get any training or documentation from Clipsal
You can find all the manuals, and technical documentation that you need on the Cytech website  https://www.cytech.biz/
The Product Information page
https://www.cytech.biz/Default.aspx?cmd=...LjokO7E%3d  has links to Products and Downloads including Manuals, Brochures, Training, Software, Technical Information etc

We believe Comfort is the most documented product in the industry
The logic programming capabilities are very comprehensive and will be as good as what most people have encountered

Regarding your specific questions
It is easy to use a Group adress to arm to Away, Night, Day mode or to disarm, although I would not recommend you to allow someone to disarm a security system by a touch of a button. The Comfort keypad should be used to disarm the security system by entering the user code.
To illustrate, the file cbusdemo1.ccl has assigned Cbus group addresses 4,5,6 to arm to Away, Night and disarm to Security Off Respectively
Look at Events > Counters and look at the Responses assigned to Counters 4,5, and 6. I have assigned standard Responses to Arm to Away, Night mode to the counters

C-Bus sends commands to Comfort via Counters. a Counter number corresponding to the group address receives the value eg 255 for on, 0 for Off and 1 to 254 for a dimming level. The Counter Response is activated when the C-Bus message is received
Comfort supports the C-Bus Security Application. The C-Touch touchscreen is able to show the state of the security zones, alarm, states and armed/disarmed status. The keypad can be emulated on the screen so that you can enter the user code in order to disarm the security system
