BT Changing telephone line to digital
#2
When they change  the line to Digital, BT should provide an analog port which can connect to analog phones, Otherwise all the phones will not work.

You can connect Comfort TEL in to the analog port and connect the house phones to TEL OUT.  Comfort should still be able to dial out.

However with these digital lines, the DTMF detection may not work as well as before, because these digiatal lines introduce more delays, as they are meant for voice only..Similarly dialing to Central Monitoring stations (alarm Receiving stations) may not work for the same reason.

If there is a problem then I suggest getting a UCM/GSM module which will work on the mobile 3G network. Then you will not need the phone line
