UCM/Ethernet: still without connection
#1
Hello

I am traying to connect from the PC to the Comfort Panel whit a UCM05(UCM- 5.79)/Ethernet. Everything is as it should be: all the shunts are in the correct position (J2 in 485 position, SW8 with the F shunt only...) & leds are blinking properly.

The UCM05/Ethernet is already configured using the DSManager v3.9.82 (9600bps baud rate, TCP protocol, network port 1001, etc), and when I buzz it, leds blink just like it should do it.

I tried to connect to the UCM a few times with Comfigurator (v2.2.3), but it always showed the message \'Failed to connect to UCM\'. Moreover, if you try to connect the UCM using Telnet, the UCM don\'t make any response too.

Please, can you help me?

Did you see this topic showing a possible cause of this problem?

http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1191.html

UCM 5.79 is not UCM05, it is a UCM01 with the large square U1 IC in the socket but this should not be a problem

Does the UCM with serial, ie with the ETH01 removed work using RS232? Cana you try this? Also reset the whole system and try again

Hello

Alvaro speaking, from Incontrol. Thank you for the quick response. I tried that too, but the comunication problem still there. No response.

Is there anything else that I can do?

Thank you very much.

You tried the UCM01 with RS232 and it fails to communicate with the PC? Are you sure your serial port is set to the correct COM port. if you are using a USB to serial port this may change depending on where you plug it in

When you send any data to the UCM the D11 and D12 red and green leds should blink
if the green led does not blink it means that the data is not getting to the UCM abd there may be a problem with your PC. Can you try another PC?

If all else fails send the UCM to Cytech

We will send it back after testing
