Comfort Firmware 5.206
#1
Changes
  1. Increased message size for each RS485 message from 32 to 56 to cater for Universal UCM and to allow UCM/GSM SMS message to be sent 1 message. SMS message for alarm includes Alarm Type number as well as Alarm Type Text
  2. Eventlog added event  SMS Dial Failure  event 33 if Send SMS returns Unsuccessful status from UCM/GSM, but GSM Module currently does not return the unsuccessful status.
  3. Sentence Number Table 4  added 116 = SMS Dial Failure  Vocab version 34 needed. However if older Vocab is used, the event for SMS Dial Fail will be silent
  4. Added  action 117, entrytime to start alternate entry time for entry door zone type
  5. Minimum version for UCM/Universal
Bugs
  1. F8 (Intercom) followed by 0 will turn off all KP speakers and microphones
  2. Doorphone does not turn on to announce in away mode when eeprom settings allow away arm on Door station announcement
Please note that most bugs do not have a significant effect on operations

Note
  1. UCM01 5.92 cannot download to Comfort
  2. UCM01 < 5.100 system information command fails with Comfigurator 2 . However Comfigurator 3 can work with UCM01
The current firmware file can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/firmware.html
Instructions for upgrading Comfort Firmware can be found at http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1782.html

Please note that new systems may not come with the latest firmware due to existing sticks in the supply chain. Installers should upgrade to the latest firmware before installation. Existing installed systems do not need the upgraded firmware unless the funcgtionality is to be updated or there are bugs to be fixed which affect the installation.

Hi Chiu

I\'m just reviewing my Event Log decode for the ComfortClient and noticed this firmware adds support for Event Code 33 which isnt documented in the ComfortProtocol document.

Is there a new version of this doc?  The last one I have was updated 27 Feb 11 which is after the release of this firmware.

Regards

Julian

Hi Chiu

I\'m a tad confused by Event Code 32:  In last manual it was \"SMS Dial Failure\"  but now seems to have morphed to \"Message Deleted\" in the new manual.

Which is right?

It was a mistake in the last document which has now been corrected Event 32 is actually Messages deleted and 33 is SMS dial failure
#6
So for event code 32:

Greeting message = 00, Names = 11H to 18H, Incoming messages = 20H to 28H, Alarm
Messages recorded = 30H

* Event 32 Messages Deleted reports messages deleted according to the message tag parameter.  The least signficant 4 bits is the user/mailbox number 1 to 8 or 0 for all users

Examples; just to be clear, are you saying that:
20H = Incoming Message - all users
23H = Incoming Message - user 3
14H = Names - user 4

?

Julian
