Wiring Diagram
#1
Hi,

I\'m aware that different situations require different solutions but...

I want to use C-Bus or X10 to control my house (which is about to be wired)

I\'m aware of how to wire different zones etc...

But does anyone know if there is an idiots guide to what should go where and make it easy for me to keep it modular in my Node zero?

With all the modules etc available and RCD\'s etc... I would love to see a diagram to help me out!

That is a wise choiceSmile

Cbus and X10 are at completely opposite ends of the spectrum in cost and reliability.
However it may not be a bad  idea to use some x10 in noncritical control eg to turn on lamps etc and cbus for the rest
Comfort can support both in the same installation

Others wil be better placed to offer advice on wiring for Cbus, I think it should be quite straightforward as everythiing goes back to the Din Rail cabinet at Node 0

Go see http://www.cbusforums.com for advice and ask your question there. I use Cbus and it\'s a bit expensive but very reliable and haven\'t had a component fail in over 3 years. Other people run networks for more than 10 years very reliably.

Go see training.clipsal.com for some online training material, I am sure it can help out.
