Hi,
I am having a problem with my ucm ethernet,
I installed DS Manager 5.8.5
My UCM 5.212 ethernet ,
SW8-f shorted only, all others removed,
SW2 - A,B,C shorted, all others removed ââ¬â ID1 (no other UCM)
I have DSL router. Firewall turned off.
My network cannot auto discover the ethernet UCM.
UCM Ethernet LED Indicators:
D10/flashing fast, D9/Red is off,
RDY/green on continuous,D2/Red on continuous,D3/Red on continuous,D4/Red off continuous,
D102 on continuous,
D104/red is off,D101/red is off, D103/green flashing twice, then off, twice then off etc con,
i attached print screen for Ds manger when i refreshed it
D9 RED should be also blinking otherwise it is not being polled
The Number of UCMs should be 1
Check that the ID shunts are not loose Reset the UCM and make sure both D9 and D10 blink
D103 and D14 status show that the connection is closed (normal)
Are yoi sure the UCM is conected to the same network
Try connect direct to PC with a LAN Cross cable and see if ou ycan detect it
If the direct connection is abble to see the UCM/Ethernet by DS Manager and not through the router that means there is a network problem
You are unable to log in when direct connected because D9 is not blinking so the UCM is not polled by Comfort so it is unable to process comands
SW7 should short all A, B, C, D
I suspecyt one of the shunts is not working
Use new shunts from SW8 oe somewhere, put into ABCD and reset the UCM
The D9 and D10 should blink
When i upgraded the firmware to UCM 6.012
and replaced the network cable with a LAN Cross cable
The problem is solved and now i can access via ethernet
I am glad that you resolved the problem
With UCM 6.012 you can now upgrade the UCM firmware without the programming cable and also upgrade other Comfort UCM and Slave firmware if they are also firmware version 6
The network problem could be due to the cable. Nornally a straight cable should be used to connectt to a router or switch but many devices are auto-switching
