Dialing out via landline fails
#11
We cannot find this problem by using the Panormos Comfiort file

Can you tell us the Onhook and Offhook Events were assigned to which Responses?

the on- and off-hook response, and the phoneringing response were bound to the corresponding responses (they had the same name), which contained no actions. The responses were simply placeholders, nothing more.

I have tested that file and did not have any trouble in dialing out using Dial Test

The Offhook and Onhook responses were also pointed at OnhookResponse and OffhookResponse which were empty

It seems strange that this would have an effect even if there were nonempty responses because onhook, offhook and Ring Responses are not activated during dial out. Offhook response is when the local phone is taken offhook not by comfort. Onhook response is when the local phone is put onhook not by comfort
Ring Response is when there is an incoming call not a dial out

Are you sure that if you put back the original Responses that you will see the same problem again?

It seems as a duplicate of http://comfortforums.com/view_post.php?post_id=13515 - When I removed the GSM module from Comfort\'s config , dialing via the landline worked fine. I\'m flashing the 7.005 firmware now and will let you know of my results.

Many thanks for the fix!

After upgrading master firmware to 7.005, dialing to CMS via landline works, BUT: system doesn\'t exit CMSAlarmTest mode.
Alarm Type CMSTest has dial indexes 1 and 2 only but after successfull kissoff with CMS (dial number #1), Comfort keeps on dialing other dial indexes 5,6,...
I\'m now doing a full reprogramming with Comfigurator 3.6.1 and going to re-test.

It seems unlikely that it would dial out to numbers which are not enabled.
Check that another alarm type has not been triggered causing the additional dial out

It\'s my error after all: the DialTest alarm type did indeed contain the phone numbers Comfort was trying to call. I thought (incorrectly) that F-3-3 was invoking the CMSTest (18) alarm type which is mapped only to phone numbers 1 and 2 while it was invoking DialTest (27).

Many Thanks, problem solved!
