That\'s a good idea. I have not tried any other distributors either. If anyone out there sees this post please respond if you can help. Thanks, Carl Ford. btw. can pay in any form needed and will of course pay shipping too.

How about this. Since my UCM01 talks to Comfort as evidenced by the red and green Led\'s on the right but not the ones os the left which show communications to and from a pc could a ucm/usb be installed as the 2nd ucm while leaving ucmo1 in place ??? after all ucm01 just doesn\'t talk to or listen to the pc but something installed as a 2nd ucm module specifically a usb if possible ??? anyone ever try something like this setup ??? Thanks for listening. Carl

OK just got back to the island after a 2nd round of radiation. I did bring and install a (new to me) rs232 ucm and everything seems to be back to normal. Thanks to everyone for their help in this matter. Now just one more thing I was trying to upgrade to comfigurator 3 and it seems to work except sometimes it says that my ucm is not recognized due to it being too old of a firmware ?? Is there a way to satisfy the search for an old ucm that is definitely working ??? Again thanks to every one for the help and the direction that led my Charlotte back home. Carl

It may not be the UCM, but Comfort 1 that does not respond to the commands
