The first Comfort Plug-in for HomeSeer was developed by Patrick Lidstone and has been updated by Paul Gordon.
HomeSeer http://www.homeseer.com/ is Home Automation software for Windows that uses X10 technology to control your lights, appliances, and audio/video equipment.
With a built-in web browser, access to your home is only a click away.
Novice users will find the clean Outlook like interface easy to understand, while power users will welcome the ability to create sophisticated scripts to control just about anything.
It connects to the PC via the CM11 or CM12.
Comfort also connects to the PC via the UCM01.
You will require 2 serial ports on your PC if you wish to control Comfort and X10 directly.
Comfort Plugin Details:
The enhanced plugin now has support for counters using two mechanisms:
These changes have added another 256 devices to homeseer, and you might feel that is a bit unwieldy (although you can hide unused devices if required).
CCL files are not yet supported.
This plug-in can be downloaded from https://www.cytech.biz/software.html
Installation
To try the plugin out, copy to the homeseer program directory.
You will need to delete all existing homeseer comfort devices, and recreate them from the Options/Interfaces/Comfort plugin - setup button Create devices button.
Once you have done this, restart homeseer.
If you would like to show your appreciation financially, please help support Patrick\'s favourite charity, CHILD (UK Registered Charity No. 1088199) which is striving to set up a hospice in central London for the terminally ill children of low-income families.
He will be very happy to forward PayPal or NoChex donations made to ha@lidstone.net
This plug-in is provided free for Comfort users. Neither the developers of the plug-in or Cytech Technology make any claims as to the useability or efficacy of the plug-in.
