If someone presses the call button on the GDS it does two things it initiats a SIP call (video if the phone picking up supports it) and also triggers an output which I have connected to Comfort to report that the gate doorbell has been activiated. Then from Comfort I turn on all the drive lights and because of the connection to smart things have my iphone buzz.
I also have one of the inputs on the GDS connectted straight from an output on comfort as when it recievs a 15v or less signal it opens the gate using the relays in the GDS. So this lets COmfort open the gates.
I havent yet played with the motion detection or the integration with Blue Iris (which also ties into smart things).
Interestingly the system also has RS485 like Comfort but I simply just dont know how that works.
Hope this is useful to anyone considering a SIP / VOIP door station to integrate with Comfort.
