I expected tghe IN input should have a pulup resistr but that may not be so

Comfort outputs are Open-collector transistor. That means that when the Output is ON it gfoes to 0V when output s Off the output is floating. If you want it to be 12V then you should add a resistor eg 1K from Output to 12V I expected tghe IN input should have a pulup resistr but that may not be so
