The new CM9001-EMS2 will soon replace CM9001-EMS for Environmental monitoring Systems. The main difference is that this will support 128 inputs and Outputs (and 7 Slaves) but will have fewer Responses 400 for EMS2 vs 512 for EMS (400 will still be more than enough for almost any application). It shall be possible to upgrade the firmware from EMS to EMS2 using the following method

If the EMS firmware is less than 7.212, then upgrqde to the latest which should be EMS 7.212. Next upgrade the firmware to EMS2 by downloading the EMS2 firmware from http://www.cytech.biz/product_details.php?item_id=504Look for EMS2 firmware in the Files tab.

Comfigurator 3.14.3 or above is needed to support the Upgrade to EMS2
