On the recent training course the use of the pulse output to introduce delays between commands was mentioned. I need to send pulsed outputs to a rio output. 1) am I right in thinking that a pulse output in 50ms units does not work with rios 2) If I separate two 1 second pulses (from the set output option, not the pulse output option) with a 2 second pulse to an arbitary output there is no delay to the second pulse from the rio.
Thanks

Pulse Output function in 50ms unit is supported in RIO version 2.0.6 onwards. Previous versions do not support it.
Sorry, I don't understand your second question. Maybe you can reproduce your response to let me get a better idea.

Output 129 pulse
Pulse output 10 for 50
Output 11 pulse
will delay output 11 pulse until op10 has finished
Output 129 pulse
pulse output 10 for 50
output 130 pulse
does not delay output 130
I am on an earlier rio than you mention.

What you have mentioned is correct. RIO operates differently. There is no delay in pulse operations.
You may send me private messages on what you are trying to achieve. Probably we can work out a solution for you...

Just a quick question. If I have new rios that support pulse output will they delay in the same way as main board outputs? If so I probably won't have a problem.

The new RIO will NOT delay the same way as main board output. Hence, your problem remains...
