Cytech is pleased to announce that the new UCM/GSM2 module is now available. The new module has all the capabilities of the old UCM/GSM but at a much lower cost. We intend to make the GSM interface a mainstream option which will be used in most systems. The features of the GSM module include;
Important Note: The GSM network is subject to delays in the voice transmissions which may cause problems in dialing to Central Monitoring Stations which expect very tight limits on the delays between signalling tones. The UCM/GSM should not be relied on for the purpose of dialing to a CMS Receiver Attachment: gsm2_1817 small.jpg (Downloaded 369 times) Last edited on Sunday Mar 20th, 2011 09:28 am by |

The UCM/GSM does not act as a stand-alone mode. It needs to be connected to Comfort in order for it to work. The telephone numbers and behaviour are controlled by Comfort. What is your application, may I ask |

Am I missing something here; the old GSM module was around £300 and so is the new one so where does the lower cost thing come in? Surely to be attractive this module needs to be down in the UCM price range of around £150 to be more mainstream in the user base? |

The new price has not been updated in some distributors yet, but the correct retail price of GBP186.30 is now showing on http://www.smartpowershop.co.uk/department/comfort/ |

Hi please can you tell me how deep the module is? I need to work out whether I will be able to fit it (piggy backed) in front of my door station module or whether I need to buy a new enclosure. Thanks Graham |

It consists of a piggy back PCB with a SIM card on top of a UCM, the height is less than a UCM/Ethernet, slightly more than a UCM/CBUS |
