Hi, does anyone know of a way to reset the smoke detectors S12V output upon sign in. IE: when the smoke detectors are triggered, You need to sign in to acknowledge the alarm and you also need to turn off the S12V output for a second or so to reset the smoke detector. (and bypass the input while turning off th S12V output to avoid hearing zone trouble)Otherwise the smoke detector keeps going. Does anyone know of a way to reset the S12V output upon the signin after a smoke alarm? Thanks |

There is a default response which switches off the S12V output then switch on again after 3 seconds using a timer, see the attached screenshot This can be assigned to the System Disarmed or System Armed Response or to a Home Control Menu It is recommended that you do not reset the smoke detectors on disarm, because if an alarm occurs, you may disarm to turn off the sirens if it is a false alarm, and the information about which smoke caused the alarm would be lost Attachment: S12V Response.jpg (Downloaded 59 times) |

I already have the responses written to bypass smoke input, turn off s12V turn backon S12V after 5 sec and then unbypass smoke input. Buy I want to run ths upon sign-in. It is no good to assign it to system disarm because if Comfort is not armed at the time that the smoke detector is triggered it will do nothing, because it will only work when coming from an armed state. If I could some how run my reponse upon a valid sign-in it would be great. Then I could set the ALARM TYPE - FIRE to set a flag, and then check that flag at sign-in and then run my response. I think I might be trying to do something that cant be done. Thanks Last edited on Friday Aug 18th, 2006 07:29 am by Scott James |

The system disarmed alarm is also activated when Comfort is disarmed following any alarm, including a fire alarm, hence this will work even when Comfort is not armed Checking alarm type would be no good because the alarm type when you disarm is System Disarmed There is no response activated when you sign in regards |
