Had a call today from a customer whose phone line is constantly engaged, they've had some zone trouble alarms and the dial out process has tried to call them and they claim to have ended the call with a #. The line has continued to be engaged when Comfort was not calling either of their mobiles.
This is the second system that has the symptom and it seems to be random.
How can we sort this?
Also when the hit F+0 to enable engineer sign in the keypad says "please sign in", why?
Thanks
Nick

The F0 key asks for sign in code because of the setting in Control > Keypads in Comfigurator
The checkbox "Need Code" has been checked for the 0 key. If the box is unchecked (this is default) then then F0 will not require a code to access the programmed function
Are you sure that Comfort is holding up the line? If the system is switched off does the line clear?
What version is installed? We have not heard of this happening for Comfort II

What is the procedure for user sign in to get F0 to work we tried signing in then pressing F0 and it didn't work?
Not sure of the firmware but it is a year old, the other system that we have the same provlem with is older but was updated about a year ago.

When F0 requires a code, enter a valid user code followed by the # key
eg Press F0
System says "Enter your code and # key"
enter code eg 1234#
If valid, there is silence, if code is wrong you hear a long error beep
This enables the Engineer code, so you can enter the engineer code and # key now

Perhaps the Comfort does not have the same configuration on the file. Try a full write again
What hapens when you enter the code, do you hear a long beep meaning the code is wrong?

Alarm has gone off again and the owners are away. Line to the house is now constantly engaged. This ONLY happens following an alarm.... I'm trying to get hold of keys.
We have two installations that are doing this

Please check the firmware version when you are at the site and also if it is Comfort 2
As far as we know Comfort II has never had this type of problem
If possible send the config file to support@cytech.biz
