This one is driving me mad !

I was performing some IR updates, and for whatever reason the UCM was then reported on the keypad as a communications failure. It then started dialing out both mobiles - repeatedly. I couldnt cancel it without resetting the power to Comfort.

if I have other alerts, the same thing happens. Even if I acknowledge the first call, regardless if the condition has been resolved, it will always keep dialling out.

Are there some particular settings I am missing.

It's getting VERY annnoying, and costs me money for every call to a mobile phone

Thanks

Can you send your cclx and uploaded event log to support@cytech.biz so we can investigate how these multiple dialouts are happening?

Sure - done.

The problems I had yesterday were :

I wanted to upload some new Infrared codes.
The UCM I use to program was unresponsive
I had to press the reset button on the UCM before it would respond.

When I tried uploading the first IR signal, Comfot decided this UCM was no longer responsive and produced a Communications Failure alert

At this point, I was losing my temper !

Then the mobiles started to ring, internal keypad going off, etc. Only a total reset to Comfort's power cleared it.

You used the UCM with ID 6 to learn infrared codes. During the Leanring of IR codes, the UCM ceases communications with Comfort, and talks only with the IR Learner software on the PC
This is why Comfort generates a Communications Failure UCM #6 until the IR learning is ended, causing the dialouts

You should use UCM #1 for this purpose, as #1 will not be reported as having cimmunications failure which is why the 1st UCM can be removed without any complaints from Comfort. Uploading and Downloading with any other UCM ID is OK but not IR learning

We shall add this advice for the IR learning UCM, see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/2015.html

We are investigating why the dialouts occur a few times as this should not happen

You can also uncheck the Dialout box on the Security Types > A;arm Types > Communications failure alarm if you dont need to be called annout this condition
Or you can limit it to 1 phone instead of 4

"uncheck the Dialout box on the Security Types > A;arm Types > Communications failure alarm" - I am currently getting communication failure 49 calls to my mobile which are leading to v. expensive phone bills. I'd like to uncheck as mentioned in this post. I'm an end user not engineer, please could you advise how I do this...thks

At the risk of asking some basic questions - do you have a connection to your Comfort system and the original .ccl or .cclx files?

Really a novice here so please could you let me know what those files are and what you mean by a connection? I presume you mean access to the system through PC and the files are a programme I should have? I'm not at home at the moment so may need to pick up on this later. thanks

OK

There are several issue here.

1) Firstly communication failure 49 is a door station (1)fault!
2) Secondly the number of times comfort rings out to your mobile

How to rectify the above.

1) There is a fault with the door station! I would start by seeing if there is a wire loose! or possibly a system reset !

2) When there is a fault comfort will dial out. UNFORTUNATLEY the default no of dial out is 5 - YES it will dial out FIVE times in succession IF you do not answer. I don't think the no of dial outs is readily accessible from the keypad and so this is where you may need the software (Comfigurator) to help you out - In order to run the software you will need a connection (USB or RS232 or Ethernet) to the comfort system! IF you dont have the original file (designated .ccl or more recently .cclx) then you may be in trouble...........The installer should have left his details OR the file on disk!

2) As an interim you could of course remove your telephone number using the menu 9 on the keypad
