Comfort comes with 8 Inputs and 8 Outputs
To expand Comfort by another 8 inputs and 8 Outputs add an LEM shown below;
- LEM01 with 8 inputs and 8 outputs or
- LEM02 with 8 inputs only 0 outputs
A LEM is connected to CP9000 or Slave using a ribbon cable. Only 1 LEM can be connected to a CP9000 or SEP01. The LEM and SEP can be mounted in the same metal enclosure
To add more Inputs or Outputs to CP9000 + LEM, a Slave Expansion Module SEP01 is needed. The SEP01 PCB is shown below
The Inputs and Outputs numbering for Comfort and Slaves are fixed and follow the following rules;
Comfort: 1 to 8
Comfort's LEM 9 to 16
Slave #1 17 to 24
Slave #1's LEM 25 to 32
Slave #2 33 to 40
Slave #2's LEM 41 to 48
Slave #3 49 to 56
Slave #3's LEM 57 to 64
Slave #4 65 to 72
Slave #4's LEM 73 to 80
Slave #5 81 to 88
Slave #5s LEM 89 to 96
hence each Comfort Ultra system can have up to 96 inputs and 96 outputs by adding
Slaves and LEMs
Note that If the LEM is not present on Comfort, the Slave #1 inputs and outputs are still numbered from 17 to 24 and NOT 9 to 16.
RIOs provide addtional 8 inputs and 8 Outputs for Comfort, but its inputs cannot be used as Alarm Inputs, ie they have no Zone Type that can be assigned to Alarm Types. They can be IR receiver inputs or Normally Open switches whicj trigger zone responses. There are max 15 RIOs for Comfort II Ultra thus providing an addtional 120 non-alarm inputs and 120 Outputs. The outputs are identical to Comfort, and SEM/LEM Outputs thus total available outputs on Comfort is 64 + 120 = 184
RIO Inputs and Outputs are numbered from 129 onwards for zone responses and commands
RIO #1: 129 to 136
RIO #2: 137 to 144
RIO #3: 145 to 152
RIO #4: 153 to 160
RIO #5: 161 to 168
RIO #6: 169 to 176
RIO #7: 177 to 184
RIO #8: 185 to 192
RIO #9: 193 to 200
RIO #10: 201 to 208
RIO #11: 209 to 216
RIO #12: 217 to 224
RIO #13: 225 to 232
RIO #14: 233 to 240
RIO #15: 241 to 248
