How do i get the serial number for the usb ucm
this is urgent if anybody can get back to me today
i am trying to use it now instead of my old ucm05 as i have forgotten
my serial/usb lead and i am out of the country

open comfigurator and click options-settings-ucm connection select usb in UCM Interface, then you can see usb number

That means that the USB driver has not been detected
You should be able to see the USB serial number in the dropdown box.
When you first plug in the USB cable from the UCM/USB into the computer, you should get a message that new hardware has been detected and it should ask you to install the driver
If you have your computer connected to the Internet (recommended) then the driver will be downloaded automatically. If not then you can browse for the driver when asked to, and browse for the folder Program Files\Cytech\Comfiguratror\USB Driver
The driver installation will continue
If the message did not appear it may be a corrupted version of the driver. Go to Control Menu, System, Device Manage in Windows, look for USB Driver and delete the FT232 driver. Then plug in the UCM/USB cable again
