The new UCM/Velbus connects directly to  Velbus, ie 4 wires 12V, GND, CANH, CANL instead of to the Velbus VMB1RS RS232 Interface as in the previous version. The Velbus system is electrically isolated from the Comfort system.

This is a significant improvement in simplicity of wiring connection as well as increasing system reliability in not needing additional VMB1RS module and a RS232 cable, and also realises cost savings.  It makes the Velbus system a more attractive candidate for system integrators to implement lighting, blinds and heating control with  Comfort.

Up to 512 Velbus channels are supported
The Velbus Modules supported currently are

  • VMB1BL - 1 channel Blinds
  • VMB2BL - 2 channel Blinds
  • VMB1RY - 1 channel Relay
  • VMB4RY - 4 channel Relay
  • VMB1DM - 1 channel Dimmer
  • VMB4PD - 4 button Pushbuton Module
  • VMB6IN - 6 input Module
  • VMB8PB - 8 button Pushbutton Module
  • VMB1TS - Temperature sensor
  • VMB1TC - Temperature Controller
  • VMB1LED - Professional LED Dimmer Module
  • VMB4RYLD - Programmable 4 channel Voltage Out Relay Module
  • VMBRYNO - Programmable 4 channel Relay Module
  • VMB4DC - 4 channel 0 (1) to 10V Output Controller
  • VMB4DME - Dimmer for Electronic/ Resistive Load

The new UCM/Velbus has just been announced so it is unlikely that any distributor would have stock. You can specify that the new model with direct interface is required. However we will check if any orders are pending from any distributor and let you know
