Hi

I have a long USB to my computer connected, during when I am trying to do PC->Comfort, I accedentally kick disconnected the USB cable hence lost the connection half way the transfer.

Now, I notice that my keypad has no sound and hang when press any key! I believe the vocab corrupted!

Even after reset system then i try to upgrade the vacab kate35 bin file, it say "Vocab upgrade encounter errors", "The operation was cancelled".

All the PIR are now all light on!

Please help urgent as I need to travel tomorrow! Now the system is not working.

I am on UTRAL5.214.

Thanks
//ps

Are you talking about kt03 or kp04?
You need to try vocabulary upgrade again
Even if there is vocab error the security system still works
You can arm and disarm even with no voice

I don't understand "PIR lights on"

Hi Chiu

It is KP03.

I repeat many time vocab upgrade not working. After reset suppose to announce "security off", but no more.

Please ignore the PIR, it is working just no movement announcement due to keypad.

Pls advice.

This post was moved from "KT03 Touchscreen Keypad" which has no relation to this problem to "Problems and Troubleshooting - Vocab Issues"

Can you try an older version of Comfigurator to do the Vocab upgrade to see if this has any effect. 3.2.3 can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/comfigurator.html

Please open Monitor I/O clear it before doing the Vocab upgrade and copy the contents and send it to us

This message shows the the vocabulary failed to erase, not because of Comfigurator

Switch off Comfort power (and battery remove) for a minute, then turn on and try the upgrade again

If it still fails the Vocab flash may be damaged and may need to be repaired. However the alarm still works and you can arm and disarm only the voice and related functions do not work

OK.

It is still not working.
Will temporary replace the board with demo's board then send back for repair.
