Hi all
When I disarm Comfort from night mode to security off, the usual behaviour is for Comfort to announce "Security Off" and then go silent.
I have an intermittent problem which occurs around once every 2 months which is on disarming from night mode, Comfort announces "Security Off" and then continues to announce the main menu ("1 to arm security system" etc.) I then either have to press # to force an exit from the menu or wait for Comfort to announce the whole menu several times before it times out. Comfort will then continue this behaviour every time I disarm the system. The only way to go back to normal behaviour is to perform a system reset from the engineer menu.
Any suggestions on why Comfort decides to announce the full menu on disarm?
Thanks

Comfort goes into the menu when there is a Trouble condition.
eg if there is a Phone Line Cut, when you sign in, it will announce
"Phone Trouble,
Press 0 for Security Off
1 to arm security system
etc
"
And you will see the OFF led blinking
So the key is to listen to what the system says when you sign in

Thanks for the response. However there is definitely no announcement of a trouble condition, Comfort announces "Security off, press 0 to arm etc.." and it keeps doing this until I perform a software reset.
Any other thoughts?

Read The Event Log and see if there is anything reported which may cause this
What is your firmware version?
Also you should not press * before entering your code and # key because that will go into the voice menu
When disarming the security system enter the code and # key only

Hi
We only enter the code then # to disarm the system. Software is Comfort II Ultra 6.011. This issue has occurred on earlier software versions as well.
I've looked in the event log and there is nothing unusual reported.

send the cclx file to support@cytech.biz
How often does this happen?
If you cannot find the cause just press F to end the menu
