This is a quick guide to getting started with Comfigurator for programming Comfort
The manual "Programming with Comfigurator" can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/programming_with_comfigurator.html
Click on Downloadable files to see the download

The Comfigurator software can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/comfigurator.html

The latest Comfigurator version at this time is 3.9.5

When you run Comfigurator, it will ask you to select the Default Template



A template is a default file for Comfort according to the model selected. The drop-down box above  will show the list of available models. Comfort II Ultra or Optimum will be the most used models. Check the Comfort model before selecting.
Press OK to confirm

Comfigurator will open with the chosen template settings


The left pane shows the programming categories, namely;
Configuration, Security, Security Type Settings, Telecoms, Control, Events, Schedule, Names.
Each of these categories has a + sign which opens up items in the category eg Events in the above screenshot

The middle pane shows the properties of the item selected in the left pane, eg in the above screenshot, the Configuration category items are shown

The status bar on the bottom of the screen shows
  1. the connection method (USB, Ethernet, or Rs232) and the communications address eg IP address/Port or USB serial number or COM port. The above screen shows Network (local) with IP address unassigned.
  2. Comfort Model (Ultra II in above screen)
  3. The vocabulary (English Residential shown above)  which is the language set for the voice menu
  4. File System (34 shown above) is a number corresponding to the model, eg Comfort II Ultra is associated with File system 34
