I've got an old comfort panel,I think its a comfort pro. The keypad has no display. I'm unable to connect using the configurator software is there a way I can completely default the panel using the keypad ?

Do you mean that you have lost the user codes?
If so you can use the Engineer code to reset the user code to 1234 as described in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum16/2357.html
You cannot default the whole program back to a blank system
Once you have your user code, you can write the default template to Comfort

Use Comfigurator and select a default template then write to Comfort to "default " it
Then start again to program with Comfigurator
