Currently it has the same functions as UCM/ETH02.
Ethernet interface hardware solutions change rapidly so we felt that the previous solution was not the most suitable for the future
The ETH03 allows more to be done as far as programmability for other features in future for example a webserver which is currently shown as a demo

that feature is not functional yet
It is a placeholder for future functionality

Cool, no probs
I thought there was a demo web page.
whats the future use, will it be to control comfort via web page. If so that would be great, and even better if it worked on Windows Phone

It may allow limited control of Comfort, due to memory limitations on the ETH03 for the webserver

Hi Cytech, I have a question, I need your help.
Now, I using ~ 600 CM9000-Log + ETH for my project.
I have a problem:
- When I click on Setting and go to CSM, I discover ETH, IP:192.168.0.109 (my computer IP:192.168.1.100), it's red. I try upgrade it but it's failure. Then I change IP of ETH to 192.168.1.169 and upgrade again.
Sometime: it's successful, sometime it's failure,"no response, check TPFT...". After that, I can not recognize ETH (I try to reset but it is not ok).
I don't know how to fix it. Give a warranty ?

- When I click on Setting and go to CSM, I discover ETH, IP:192.168.0.109 (my computer IP:192.168.1.100), it's red. I try upgrade it but it's failure. Then I change IP of ETH to 192.168.1.169 and upgrade again.
The IP Address shown in RED means the ETH03 is on the wrong subnet
Your PC IP address is a different subnet 192.168.1.100 from the ETH03 192.168.0.109
You should not be upgrading the firmware because there is nothing wrong with the firmware
Just change the IP address to the same subnet eg 192.168.1.100 or check the DHCP box and submit
I repeat that you do NOT upgrade firmware because of this
If you cannnot find the ETH03 do a Reset to Default as shown in the UCM/ETH03 manual
- Press and hold SW2 switch.
- Press SW1 RESET once.
- The Green D2 LED on the ETH03 will turn off for about 5 seconds and then
- turn back on.
- Maintain the press-and-hold of the SW2 switch until another cycle of turning
- off and turning on of the D2 LED on the ETH03 module. This will take around
- 10 more seconds.
- Run the CS Manager software to discover the ETH03 module.
It is important to have the UCM Manual which can be downloaded from http://www.cytech.biz/ucm_manual.html in order to prevent any more problems on your project

Ok, I understand. But I only use 1 port. If I want to use 2 ports of ETH, I need upgrade for ETH (new firmware).

Yes you need to upgrade to new ETH03 firmware to support 2 portss
Upgrade to ETH03 General 1.12 from http://www.cytech.biz/eth03_firmware.html
You must also upgrade Comfort server manager to 2.04
This can be done in Comfigurator when you run CS Manager. It will check if you have the latest CSMANAGER and if not ask you if you want to upgrade
You must upgrade CS Manager before you do the upgrade firmware ETH03
But this is separate from IP address not in the same subnet
You need to change the IP address to the same subnet before you upgrade the firmware
Do the reset to default procedure in the last post if you cannot see the ETh03
