Comfort can use dialout to generate alerts etc.  Are there any plans to offer email output as an alert mechanism or status mechanism?
With the ETH0x modules it should be possible to use an external SMTP email relay service I think?

Sorry to hassle you.

I'm really looking forward to this feature, is it still in the pipeline?

Cheers

FF

Interesting, I'd missed that.

I do have UCM/ETH03

The next question is how? I can't see an obvious way of doing it in comfigurator.

All sorted thank you.

Is there any way to add my zone names to the emails?

At the moment it says zone 2, zone 9 etc

Thanks

Kev

The zone names are taken from Comfigurator
Enter the zone names in the zones screen

You may not have followed the procedure of exporting the cclx file to the phone or tablet

See http://www.comfortforums.com/forum122/4007.html

I'm not talking about viewing the zones in Comfigurator or in the App.

When I receive an email the message reads Intruder by Zone 6

As far as I know all of my zones are named correctly in comfigurator. The display on the keypad is correct and I've done the iPhone app upload correctly.

I'd assumed it was just that the UCM doesn't have the zone names to be able to include them in the email, however it sounds like you're telling me it should do?

Sorry about the mistake
The zone names are not available in the UCM/ETH03 due to memory limitations

You will be able to see the alarm name eg Intruder, but only zone numbers

Ah, ok. I guess if it's a memory issue no amount of updates will change that situation in the future?

I would not say that there is not enough memory for this function

But the amount of memory is  limited and the features which can be added are unlimited so we have to be careful to add what is more important first. I think zone names may not be the most important
