My Comfort II system died yesterday.
It's completely dead (no lights, keypad dead, just a mains-hum from the controller), the AC supply is OK.
I touched the voltage regulator and it was extremely hot so I powered it down and disconnected everything. Even with just the AC connection onto the board the voltage regulator 'boils' and there's no LEDs on.
So I fear it's fried
We did have a very bad thunderstorm the other day and my home phone (which is connected to Comfort) has failed too, so I suspect that's not a coincidence.
The board looks fine visually.
I contacted the UK company I purchased the board from (SmartPowerShop) has stopped selling Cytech kit as has the only other UK company I'm aware of (Ivory Egg).
Any thoughts anyone.

Thanks for the thought, I gave them a call and they were indeed helpful. They've offered to look at the board, but also said that any repair would need to be done back at Cytech.
First I thought I'd see if Cytech can offer/do anything, since I'm 100% sure it's dead. Hopefully they can since I don't fancy splashing out £350+ on a new one

It looks like it is damaged
You can return it directly to us and we will either repair it or offer an upgrade price for the PCB

Thanks.
Can you confirm what the 'upgrade' cost would be (and is that for an exact replacement or an upgrade as it's implied).
Alternatively i you can repair it is there a fixed-rate cost or will it depend on the nature of the repair.
FYI the board is a CM9000-ULT.
Thanks.
