Instructions

Connect the UCM/USB to a USB port on the computer

A message "Found New Hardware" will pop up on the Windows status bar

For Windows 7, the installation should procees automatically, and the message "Hardware is Ready for Use" will appear when the USB driver has been installed

For Windows XP, a window will pop up as shown below

Select "Continue Anyway"
The window below should appear

Press OK and browse to the folder Program FilesCytechComfigurator3USB Driver folder
Select the file shown. You may have to select one of the subfolders i386 or amd depending on your system

Press OK and continue
This should install  the driver
Sometimes, the Hardware Installation message as shown in the 1st screenshot will appear again. If so repeat the process and continue

If required, more detailed instructions can be found at http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documents/AppNotes/AN_104_FTDI_Drivers_Installation_Guide_for_WindowsXP%28FT_000093%29.pdf

If you have problems installing the USB driver, this may be due to an outdated driver which was already installed in the computer previously
