I just wanted to say a big thank you to Cytech for the excellent service.
Recently my Comfort system completely died due to a lightning strike on my phone line.
Having contacted Cytech I returned my controller to them and they promptly repaired it and sent it back to me in the UK.
Now it's re-installed and working well.

Lightning causes voltage surge that can easily destroy sensitive electronic components.
Comfort has several types of protection against voltage surges induced by lightning on the telephone line, and all inputs and outputs of the system
Surge arrestors will breakdown when the surge is too strong and cause a short circuit to ground, which protects the rest of the components. This makes it easier to repair the damaged board by replacing just one component
We want to keep all Comforts working with minimum disruption.
However a close lightning strike would cause more damage that even these protection components cannot protect against
