Hi,
When I arm the system in either night mode or full mode the red arm light flashes. Could this be something to do with the battery as it has just started doing this over the past few days.

Low battery causes the "AC" LED to flash, not the Arm LED.
Flashing ARM led means an alert or alarm condition
read the event log, it may tel you what caused the condition

Had a look at the event log and there is nothing mentioned in it. Looks like the system is being armed normally but when it is being armed the red ARM light flashes and the keypad backlight stays on.

The cclx file is ok
But the event log shows many power fails and restore and low battery
The whole system date and time was reset on 6/10 5:44
Power failure will turn on the Red AC led and Low batttery will flash the AC led. You may have mistaken it for the Arm led which is also red
Please check the AC and battery problem

Yes the main property had a power outage recently and the date and time has been reset also. It is the ARM led that flashes red when the system is armed (either away or night modes), backlight on the keypad stays on until system is turned off. Hope this helps.
Could there be a fault with a board and if so is there any way of doing board diagnostics.
Attached are photos of when system is in night mode, as you can see the ARM light is off in 1 and on in the other, as it flashes.

In Alarm Types > System Armed, you have set the alarm state to 3
This means that when you arm the system, it causes a full alarm state which causes the arm led to flash

I have just email an old comfiguration file which seems to be working. Is there any way of telling what the changes are from the file email today and the 1 emailed a few days ago.
I had changed system arm setting back to nothing but it made no difference

I have just emailed most recent file named 6 October 2014 which does not work properly. The file sent before named 20 July 2014 when uploaded works. Is there any way of checking to see what the differences in the 2 files are.

The problem is exactly what I showed in my last post
Look at the System Armed Alarm Type carefully and compare the Alarm State
The screen for the working file is shown below
