Please note some known problems with upgrading firmware with UCM/ETH03 up to firmware 7.058

If upgrading its own firmware, do not interrupt the upgrading by pressing Cancel. It will not be able to restart the upgrade.

if upgrading other firmware by Bus and the upgrading process times out, there is a message "timed out - Retry?" Normally you press OK and the upgrading will continue, but there is an error message which stops this.

If upgrading Comfort firmware by UCM/ETH03 ucm programming cable as shown in http://www.comfortforums.com/forum4/1782.html  this does not work. Upgrading other modules except Comfort by programming cable does work. The bug does not affact UCM/USB or UCM/ETH02

We shall be releasing firmware upgrades to UCM,  ETH03 firmware and Comfigrator which fixes these problems soon

Please use UCM/USB to do upgrading instead in the meantime or just wait

Please upgrade to UCM 7.060 especially those who have UCM/ETH03 see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum81/4010.html

I have just received an ETH03 already loaded with UCM firmware version 7.076.  I have also upgraded the ETH03 firmware to Eth3GE-v2.20

I am still having the problem posted Oct 16th, 2014 where I can't use it to upgrade anything else using the directly connected UCM programming cable method.

Luckily I was able to use my old Ethernet device, (I think an ETH01 as it has the Orange Tibco module), that has UCM firmware 5.212 to upgrade my Ultra II to the latest firmware.

However I can't upgrade it and nothing will touch my KT03 which is still running 1.004 and was the whole point of this.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix the ETH03 so it can be used with a UCM programming cable?

You mean the same UCM with ETH01 submodule is able to upgrade using the programming cable but with ETH03, it is not able to do the same? That should not be the case.
First, I suggest that you do not use Comfigurator 3.11.0 which is a beta software and has several serious bugs see http://www.comfortforums.com/view_topic.php?id=4415&forum_id=20Uninstall and install the latest released version 3.10.11
At which point do you see the message "UCM does not support this operation"
Describe your steps  so we can understand when it  happens
