Hi
Due to load shedding and a technical fault on the AC supply, I have decided to run my system on battery power using a backup UPS.
The system is working perfectly well.
However I want to disable the 'POWER FAILURE CONTROLLER' message from displaying on the LCD key
and
Disable the AC led indicator on the keypad
Please advise how I can achieve this
Regards

Just as an added note. Connect a mains relay with NC or NO contacts to a spare input or RIO and create a Response to execute when the mains fail.

For me I would like the response to switch off my Pool pump when running on UPS. If using ComfortClient you could have it send a custom SMS as well.

Hi

I run Comfort from a UPS backup battery. This weekend the keypad reported a power failure on low battery. It was after hours and I could not get a replacement and the system slowly shutdown.

I since replaced the battery and the system won't power up ! Thinking it might be the UPS, I connected the battery directly to the system with no avail.:X

Any ideas on what might be causing this ?

There is a SW52 pushbutton switch near the heastsink

If a battery is connected without a AC power supply, the system will not power up until the switch is pressed. This is for the situation where a house is not completed but the battery can be connected. The system will not power up or drain the battery
When the AC is ready it can be turned and the system will start running.

One of the many ways that Comfort is designed for practical use

I installed a brand new gel battery. Tested by the supplier. The battery was on trickle charge since 2:00 pm yesterday.

The system reports Power Failure Controller on the keypad and Power Supply Ac Failure - Low battery on my IPhone app.

The Alarm Type PowerFailure is set to null response.

PS: Tried acknowledging the message by entering my code on the keypad and it causes the system to go into Ready To Arm Mode :(

Measure the battery voltage at the battery connector when powering Comfort
If it is less than 11.5 V there will be low battery alarm

Old Battery voltage 13.02

New Battery voltage 13.38

New Battery on Comfort battery terminals 13.22

New Battery on UPS output 13.34

Seems like there is nothing wrong with my old battery

I think there may be something wrong with your settings that we cannot see from here
If non detector alarms for Power and Low battery are set to 0 then it is not possible for these alarms to be reported at all

Can you try writing to comfort again

when do you get these alarms after writing?
Can you send the Event log as well
