Hi All,

due to renovations i needed to rewire my phone lines inside the house and i've "broken" Comfort !

I have ADSL filter plugged in to the master socket and from the filter connected the TEL IN on comfort using pins 2 and 5 of the BT plug

(does it matter which way round these connect to the TEL IN sockets ? I couldn't find anything in the install sections saying which goes where?)

then TEL OUT goes to a BT type socket where I plug in my house phones in a daisy chain fashion

when i go to dial test (user menu 3,4,3) it says "please hang up" and then repeatedly tries to redial ( i can hear the DTMF tones form the keypad) every minute or so and has been doing this for over an hour)

apart from when Comfort is dialing the house phones work fine

when i completely disconnect house phones comfort still not getting a dial tone

any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance,
David

There are only two wires going in to comfort try it both ways, as long as you know what the original color of the wires going into comfort there should not be a problem. Also wires must go to comfort first then tellephones.

thanks Toni

swapped both in var combinations and didn't seem to make a difference, but logged in with comfigurator, tinkered with a few settings and did a selective write and this seemed to fix it

suspect it just needed a reset of some form to get out of the redial loop

plugged all the phones back in and everything is fine now
