I have a couple of SCS06s with the chrome surround. These are mounted on standard UK single boxes. Due the the weight of the surround and the fact that they sit slighly proud of the wall surface, it is very easy to dislodge them when pressing a button.
Have I missed something in mounting them as they are just held in with a couple of spring-loaded clips?
Would I be better off with a different surround such as the Esprit?

Perhaps the chrome is a bit too heavy. These parts were supplied by another manufacturer. The Glass Esprit may be a better solution. Otherwise perhaps you can try some more primitive solution like double sided tape on the back of the frame>?

Yes, I had thought of doing something like that, but I don't think it's practical. I'll order a few of the standard white frames and see how that works.
Thanks :D.

Pat  The esprit glass won't be much lighter than the esprit chrome it the fact that the bs screws are domed and the switch can rock on them, you need to use the round euroboxes or use a lock screw to screw the scs to the back plate the everything will sit tight to the wall give me a pm and ill organise something for you  regards Niall
