Hi,
I have Heatmiser and it is running well. It controls DHW, underfloor electric and thermostats. All timers are controlled by Comfort. DHW timers removed from Heatmiser, DHW thermostat and timers are in Comfort.  Home, Away and Night mode setting off or on heating as needed. Great.
I have the Heatmiser runmode mapped to a counter. Looking at other CBUS threads, will a response mapped to the runmode counter activate its response when a person changes Thermostat button from heating to frost protect or visa versa.
I understand from the CBUS thread if a response mapped to a CBUS counter, then CBUS changing the counter will activate the response, but a response changing the CBUS counter will not activate counter response. Fine.
I need to use zwave modules that will control radiators where a pilot wire sets the fans speeds (set backs) and on or off. ZWAVE do pilot wire controller. I want to the run mode counter response to various things.
Can heatmiser counters have counter responses that are activatable.
I can not activate counter response for a Heatmiser Counter  Run Mode from a human pressing the Heat or frost protect mode button.
Your help will much appreciated.

Currently Heatmiser Run Mode mapped to a counter does not trigger Counter Responses, mainly because it is not clear how this will be useful

Is it just the Run Mode map to coounter that you find the Response to be useful?

Hi,
Thank you for the rely.
The Most useful would be
1 Run Mode Map Addr 23
As my radiators are not connected directly to Heatmiser (zone plumbing of pipes was impracticable), I use Dimplex Smart Rads with a pilot wire control via QUBINO Zwave pilot wire module. I can set  the mode(Frost, Eco, Comfort -2, Comfort} successfully in Comfort via ZWave. This is tested and works very well.
If I can have a activated counter response for the  run mode I can set the mode of the radiator appropriately when a person presses Heatmiser Thermostat on button.
2  Current Heating State  Map Addr 35
If I can have a activated counter response for the   Current Heating State  I can set the mode of the radiator  up or down  as needed .
3. Also is the IRIO MODULE with DIGITAL I/O SUBMODULE available in the UK.
I need 4 temp sensors  connected to a DHW  and  buffer tank. The sensors will be connected top and bottom.
I tried the ZWave route but this did work for me in Vera initially in my tests.
I was planning on using virtual ZWave nodes if the tests in Vera worked, however they did not.
Hope this makes sense

The triggering of counters in Heatmiser is not implemented, because of the way Heatmiser works. The Run mode and other events in Heatmiser do not send the changes when they happen. The UCM/Heatmiser has to poll them periodically ie about every minute to find out the new values. This makes it not so suitable for counter responses
You can achieve the same thing by using a timer to check the counter value
egResponse YYYIf Counter xxx > 0 then Do Response RRRDo Response  YYY after 60 seconds using Timer ZZZ
This is started by doing response YYY and stopped by stopping Timer ZZZ
