Comfort Server Manager should be 2.0.9 or later
ETH03 firmware should be 2.22 or later This is NOT the UCM firmware on the base UCM Module. It is the firmware on the ETH03 submodule

The Comfort Server Manager sets up the IP address of the UCM/ETH03. This is included in Comfigurator 3.7.8 and above.

In Comfigurator, Select Options > Settings > UCM Interface = Network Local

he Comfort Server Manager  link is shown
Click on Comfort Server Manager.

NOTE THAT COMFORT SERVER MANAGER CAN ONLY WORK ON  THE SAME NETWORK AS THE UCM/ETH03, NOT FROM INTERNET

The window should show all UCM/ETH03 that are connected physically to the network. It is in blue colour if it is on the same subnet, otherwise it will be shown in red. The current firmware version for the UCM/ETH03 is shown (1.07 in the above example). The Status of the UCM/ETH03 will normally be shown as "idle"; if there is a connection, the Status filed will show "Busy"

Select the IP address on the left (if there are more than  1 UCM/ETH03). The  IP address of the UCM/ETH03 is shown on the right pane on top

Select the IP address for ETH03 and click "Email Settings" button
Initially the email settings  screen will have blank fields. Click "Read Settings" button to read the exiting settings from ETH03

SMTP Server: enter the address of a SMTP server
Port: 25, 2525, 8025, 587

Note that the email authentication by SSL is not supported. Basic authentication by User name and password or No authentication is supported. Hence Gmail and Yahoo email servers are not supported.

Note that you can use free stmp servers for the purpose of sending emails which do not require SSL authentication, for example SMTP2go https://www.smtpcorp.com/verification They have a free plan that is limited to 20 emails per day

User name: eg techsupport@cytech.biz  This is the user name for the  sending of the email. This field has a maximum length of 24 characters
Enter the email password for authentication for the STMP server

Email From: the  name to be displayed in the FROM line of the email. Use an email address that will be recognised by the recipient to avoid being classified as Spam

Email Subject: what is to be displayed in the SUBJECT line of the email

User1 Name to User4 Name: Enter the user names corresponding to the user numbers in Comfort, each of whom have their own user code. These names will be shown in the emails when the  alarm is related to a user, eg System disarmed by user or system armed by user.

Email addresses: enter up to 4 email addresses to send emails to.
Alarms: check the boxes 1 to 4 for the emails to be sent for each Alarm Type triggered. Each Alarm Type can be sent to any combination of 4 emails

Note that the email addresses are NOT related to the 4 user names

If the email is not received, check the spam folder. Gmail tends to consider automated email senders as spam. It is important to use a recognised email address in the sender field

In the alarm Types field, for each alarm type, select any combination of the 4 email addresses to send emails for the selected alarm

Click Submit when complete

To test, do a Dial Test on the keypad or from User Mode in Comfigurator. This sends an email to the selected addresses without causing an alarm, Alternately, arm or the security system which can send emails depending on the alarm type settings

If emails are not received by any of the 4 users, check the points below;
  1. Check your Junk Mail. if the Email From field is not known, it may go to Junk or Spam. Use a known email address that you use to send emails in "Email From"field
  2. Check the SMTP Server, Port, User Name and Password. User name usually needs to be the full email address. Check the instructions for your email server. Note that gmail and Yahoo SMTP servers are not supported

Is there any way to send emails other than on Alarm events?  It would be great if the email could be sent as an Action in a Response.
That would allow more information to be shared by the system.  e.g. I have a holiday home that goes through a sequence of activation phases when we are returning to it (e.g. heating on, hot water on, treatment plant on, etc) and it would be good to be notified when each stage is complete.
Thanks

emails can only be sent from alarms. but there is a Do Alarm Action that you can use in Response that is assigned to your events. You can then customie the alarms as you need. Makethe alarm state idle so it does not do anything. But you may not ber able to change the alarm name in emails
