Hi,

I've got an old Comfort I system. The main PCB has a chip labelled “Outside 4.169” A006166.  The slave SEP modules have a chip labelled First 4.164.  The SEP PCB is SM0223.

I've noticed that when arming or disarming the S12V connection on the SEP does not switch off, whereas it does on the main CPU.  I suspect this might have always been happening.  Both SEPs exhibit the same the problem, so I don't think it's a faulty PCB.

I found in the forum that there may be a jumper that needs removing (J7).  I removed that, pressed the SEP reset button and tried again, but no luck.  Have I got the right jumper?

I know it's a very old system but as it's functioning perfectly other than this, I'm reluctant to upgrade it.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Tim

In Comfort 1 the S12V output is not enabled.
You can program any of the other outputs to switch on and off. The SEM outputs can drive 500 ma combined so you can use them to switch a small load

Many thanks for getting back to me.

I've got some spare cores between the main panel and the SEPs, so I was thinking of connecting S12V on the panel to a relay in each SEP (via the spare cores).  The relay would then switch the S12V connection on/off at the SEP.

Does that sound OK to you?

I think it should work.
