KP04A/KP06A LCD error messages ID Conflict This means the Keypad has an ID conflict with another Keypad in the system. Each keypad must have a unique id. eg if there are 4 keypads, they must have IDs 1,2,3,4 without any missing IDs. If any 2 Keypds have the same ID then the ID Conflict message is seen. Check the Keypad ID in settings menu and change it. See http://www.comfortforums.com/forum105/4820.html No Bus Communications This means that the RS485 bus is not connected to the keypad. Check the connection of the KA/KB connector wiring to the Comfort KA/KB terminals Keypad/ID not Polled This means that the Keypad is connected to KA/KB (so there is bus communicatiomns) but the keypad ID is not polled by Comfort. This is a problem with the ID. The keypad may have its ID set correctly, but Comfort does not know that this ID is connected in the system. To fix this do a Scan for Modules in Comfigurator see http://www.comfortforums.com/forum128/4073.html Check that the keypad ids are in correct sequence eg 1,2,3,4 for 4 keypads, and write Modules and settings to comfort. Another method is just to reset the Comfort controller. Comfort will automatically detect all modules in the system and poll them. Comfort firmware must be 7.142 or above "Incompatible Text Format - Press *1 to Sync" This message means the spoken Vocabulary in Comfort is not the same as the text format in the KP04A/KP06A. This may be due to a different vocabulary/wordlist in the same language, or a different language.Press *1 at the same time on the keypad if this message is seen. A progress bar should be seen on the LCD. If the error message remains, then there may be a problem with the Comfort voice. Check if other keypads have the same error message if there is more than 1 keypad. Test if the voice can be heard on the keypad by entering the user code and # on the Keypad. The voice menu "welcome, security off..." should be heard. if there is no voice then the voice may be corrupted. This is a problem with Comfort, not the keypad Press the reset button on Comfort. Often this can cause the voice to recover. If not then the voice is corrupted. Do a Vocabulary Upgrade using Comfigurator to transfer the vocabulary to Comfort.See http://www.comfortforums.com/forum76/1623.html Last edited on Sunday Aug 5th, 2018 07:51 am by slychiu |

So that SHOULD READ make sure it upgraded to the latest BETA software - the latest software 7.082(beta) does NOT show up on a scan. (AND IT TAKES BEST PART OF 1/2 hr to download !) |

Sorry I thought the latest firmware 7.082 had been updated. It is now the latest version U[grading KT03 firmware by UCM through the Comfort Bus is slow. It is much faster to upgrade by KT03s USB as that is direct to KT03, wherease by Bus it has to go from UCM to Comfort Bus and to the KT03 You can also upgrade using the UCM Firmware Programking cvable connected to KT03 |
