Hi there,I have read http://www.comfortforums.com/forum122/4520.html and have a couple of questions. My lighting is all controlled via CBUS using a mixture of scenes and simple lights.
  • The screenshot shows a dimmer - how do we program this?
  • In many cases I am using scenes - can we use provide feedback  to indicate which scene is selected via the trigger control?
ThanksMark

The Dimmer level can be programmed by using the feedback as a Counter Register which is mapped to a Cbus group address
eg if Lighting group 5 is mapped to Comfort Counter 2, then in Control Menu set Feedback as Counter 2.

The cbus group address value will be sent to the mapped counter as it changes, hence the counter will give the level from 0 to 255
Ij order to see a slider in the Comfort app, leave the actions 0,1 2 etc blanklk, ie do nto assign any actionsThis allows you to see the slider value 0 to 255 and to change the slider value by sliding or by entering a value by keyboard
Scenes are also mapped to counters. The counter value can be seen on the app.hence the counter will be the last scene activated. However I dont know how useful this is because individual lights can be controlled after a scene is sent, so the last scene may not be represenative of the current condition

Thanks that has brought the dimmer up on the UI.

However, I note that dragging the slider to near zero doesn't generate a message on the bus (it is fine at say 255) but below around 10 it seems to stop generating messages. I can prove that completely with the numeric entry!

On the scenes the use case I have is say a room kitchen that has three loads. I offer the use: Cook, Dine and Off and ideally the UI would show which is selected - if you deviate from the scene I think something in CBUS would generate the trigger indicator kill and you can leave none selected. However your UI would need to know that the trigger level 5, say, corresponded to dine.

Thanks
Mark

Thats correct.
Values 0 to 9 do not work
It is a bug in the Firmware which will be corrected in the next version

Thank you for this.Silly question - I have reviewed the instructions here but when I unpack the ZIP file It reports a file containing the filename ULTx7_148.cbfWhen I try and apply it with Comfigurator it says
Upgrade for Controller Unknown will be upgraded  v7.068 to V7.148 press f0and it then errors out.Do i have to do something to tell the system it is the comfort firmware?
ThanksMark

You should be able to upgrade the Comfort firmware ULTx 7.148 if your original firmware is also Ultra
"Upgrade for Controller Unknown will be upgraded" is not correct. It should not be unknown firmware
Do a Scan for Modules again.
Right click on Controller in Modules tab and select Scan for al modules
The Controller should be detected as ULT 7.xxx then press F0 on the keypad and select Upgrade from Local file and select ULTx 7.148. cbf
